At first glance, this seems to be a tongue twister, but behind it lies not only a unique way of life but also a family business with dedication.

Calmness and closeness to nature
Stephanie went on a trip to Australia at the age of 19. The work and travel break after her school career in 2007 was actually supposed to last only one year. But as life goes, it turned into a full six years on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. In the meantime, she was visited by her brother Max, who is 7 years younger and already had a great affinity for design, graphics, and graffiti during his high school years. Today, he studies communication design at Burg Giebichenstein in Halle. The two dreamed of a joint project in the future.
Water sports enthusiasts as far as the eye can see, sand always underfoot and the sea breeze on the face. A place that symbiotically combines freedom and sport, where Stephanie came to know and love the Australian philosophy of life, characterized by serenity and a connection to nature.

FlipFlop from the east coast of Australia
In 2013, however, she returned to Germany from the smallest continent on Earth for family reasons – with many ideas for her first own business. She brought a special flip-flop from the east coast of Australia.
"Life is better in FlipFlops."
The summer shoe has a unique "Noodlemesh" sole that provides a pleasant, relaxed wearing experience. In addition, its flexible structure ensures good ventilation and blood circulation of the foot on warm summer days – like a little massage.
We wanted to give the FlipFlop a new body after more than 50 years. The Flippi was also supposed to look iconic, trendy, and set new standards.

Do-It-Yourself Entrepreneur
In 2014, she founded the entrepreneurial company Blue n’Red together with Max – a young, fresh, and innovative company in the field of beach/water sports and outdoor activities. Everything was done Do-It-Yourself from the design and logo to the homepage with online shop and distribution. The first major milestone was the Kitesurf World Cup 2014 in St. Peter-Ording.
The desire to transfer the lifestyle of the Australian East Coast to eastern Germany grew more and more: her home, the Schladitzer Bucht in Leipzig, became her little Australian Mooloolaba. In 2016, T-shirts, hoodies, bikinis were added, and: BackPacks. Backpacks that are functional both for daily use and for traveling, and offer high wearing comfort. They are water- and dirt-repellent, simple, and reduced to the essentials.
We will probably never forget the puzzled faces in the hometown of our parents, in Merkwitz near Taucha, when the first gigantic container full of flip-flops was delivered to the marketplace of the sleepy village. For the time being, the parents' basement had to serve as the storage location.

Family business with heart and dedication
With Stephanie as managing director, Max as designer, father Gordon as logistics manager, and mother Ines as ever-present supporter, the project transformed into a family business with heart and dedication – straight outta Leipzig.
