Black Rose Manufacturing is the result of the joint surf studies of world-class surfer Justin Quintal and surfboard designer Ricky Carroll. In their quest to develop timeless surf equipment, they recognize that progressive surfing does not provide all the answers. Nor does a stubborn preference for the past. This is the fundamental principle of Black Rose Manufacturing. The goal is to oscillate and operate between both, hoping to overcome their inherent limits. The end result: surfboards that offer further insights into the practice of wave riding.
The Black Rose is a traditional fish based on the Sheepshead model from Black Rose. It has a classic, super lively feel, and when paired with the Carver C7, the board retains a lot of thrust and agility. This is a great all-round fish.
